Hey How Do I Turn On Task Manager On My Computer From Administrator? I Need It For All Of My Accounts Thanks?
I need to turn on the task manager on my computer which has windows xp it has service pack 2. When ever I try to acess it fom my account it gives me a message sayineg the task manager has been dissabled by your administrator. the problem is that I am the administrator. I found the administrator account by going into safemode on my computer. However from here I cant find what to do Any help would be apreciated

Not a problem…You can fix it by going to “RUN” (Windows key + R) and typing: “gpedit.msc” … i pray you have XP Pro because i am too lazy to look up what the registry equivalent is for XP Home. But its in there somewhere i am just too lazy to get it for ya..anyway…now that the group policies window is up navigate to:
User Configuration > Administrator Templates > System > CTRL + ALT + Del Options
Now on the right hand pane the first item is entitled “Remove Task Manager”….Double-Click that to bring its window up
Now if it is set to Enabled then that is your problem…Either way, either click the “Disabled” radio button and then click OK…Now go try it out..
It should work for ya…I hope you have XP Pro..sorry…if i have time i will post the equiv for XP Home

i had this problem once but i dont recall how i had it fixed. i used http://www.geekstogo.com. just go there register and look at the left bar under security and choose malware removal, hijackthis logs go here and just post your question there. they should have an answer for you in no time! good luck!
